Ongoing
support is provided by telephone during
EST business hours to the numbers below:
(03) 9639 4294 or 0402 455 728 Help System
While
UCars has been designed to be as user friendly as possible, it
contains a comprehensive Help System that provides users with easy to read
instructions. Remote
Support
In addition, there is an online
UCars Remote Support facility that enables us (the
UCars Support Centre) to view your screen online. This
facility is unique in this field, in that it provides a security tunnel for the
session. This means that it is (almost) impossible for hackers to use this
session as a means of piggy-backing into or infecting your computer.
Operationally, you set an access
password, you initiate the call, you monitor what is happening to your
computer, and you determine when the session is terminated. Other people, not
even the
UCars Support Centre, can log into your system without your initiation and consent.
UPGRADES AND ENHANCEMENTS
Compliance
UCars is GST compliant, and
automatically calculates GST on all your transactions. It automatically manages
Notional Input Tax Credits for you. Legislative
amendments are provided as and when required for no upgrade fees. Also,
changes to statutory forms, such as transfers forms or contracts of sale, are
provided as soon as they are required, again for no upgrade fee. (We usually
leave the old formats there so you can use up remaining stocks of superseded
forms). These necessary changes, plus any general enhancements to the system to
support changing business practices, are being continually provided to keep the
UCars product working for you. Backup &
Security
Integrated backup and
restore functions are provided with the
UCars system. A database
security mechanism is also available in the event of technical problems caused
by power outages, spikes etc. Technical
UCars operates on an IBM compatible desktop or networked
computer operating on at least Windows 2000. Because of the amount and richness
of functionality in the system, operations under the Windows 98 Operating
System, or earlier, can be problematic depending on the age and quality of the underlying
hardware.
A multi-user version, using the facilities of a Database Management System
(DBMS) Server architecture, ensures the integrity of your data, and operates in
a very secure and efficient manner.
